[I ate] Chicago-style Chinese Hot Dog

People getting too confused. It’s a Chicago style hot dog flower bun. Hot dog flowers are often seen in Asian bakeries and this is just an interpretation of the famous Chinese bun with the sport pepper, tomato, a house made Chinese mustard, and relish. The hot dogs that Fat Rice uses are from the Vienna Beef factory located in the city.

It’s a great bun. I’d recommend the malasada (available only on the weekends), snickerdoodle cookie, and the pastel de nata (egg tarts).

The malasada is a Portuguese style of donut. Fat Rice’s used to be rotating, but now consists of a passion fruit filling and coated in a matcha sugar. The snickerdoodle contains Ceylon black tea and a salted egg yolk custard filling
