For those of you who are suggesting that the OP reports it, I have to ask...

How many of you have been a victim of crime in Toronto, reported it to the police, and have had your attacker caught and brought to justice? I only ask this because every single person I know whose been a victim of a crime (e.g. stolen phones, similar Kijiji thefts, assault, muggings, etc.) and has reported it has never gotten a call back from the police.

I'm not saying crimes shouldn't be reported to the police but after hearing a friend tell me that nothing happened after he gave the police the home address of the person who stole his phone with live GPS tracking and even pictures of the guy's face (from trying to unlock the phone). When I hear about police conducting elaborate raids on marijuana dispensaries around the city while citizens are being ignored for doing their own detective work and serving criminals to the police on a silver platter, it really makes me wonder where the priorities of police really are.
