Are there any "Quicker" #29 Sheiko routine or adaptations that lean towards more intensity and less volume?

Is there a way to flip it, as I'm not sure if the high volume approach is working for me as I could make better use of my time.

I've done #29 template in the past. I've got no problem with doing it again. I actually quite like the exercise selection and lay out also. The #31 was too much for my ligments, I'd outright fail to start reps when I still had muscular strength.

As a come back work out I've done smolov jr for bench and squat, ignored deadlifts (by far my best lift anyway) and milked the gains for 6 weeks by only adding added 2.5kg every week to bench + 5kg to the squat, only, for six 8 day train weeks.

I've now reached a point where my squat won't progress without form breaking down, I can't get as low on every rep as I'd like, and my lower back is taking a beating too. Also on bench, I can't hit as much volume now, so I'd like to change up my program. It's getting a bit tedious, I miss assistance exercises and deadlifts.

One thing I learnt about my body throughout smolov jr was that for me, It didn't matter if I hit all the sets - I would still get stronger the next week. Some 3x10 weeks I only hit 3x5, but still banged out +2.5kg 4x8 no problem next week.

So what I'm considering now, is a bastardised smolov jr, with only 5 sets for each work out. But, I'd also like some warm up sets in there and a final AMRAP which brings me back to the sheiko idea.
