Austin locals priced out by wealthy tech workers get a glimmer of hope

I'm going through a similar situation, I'm month to month and my landlord is selling, we have no real timeframe but know itll be a "you have 30 days," type of thing. Can't fault the landlords theyre good people but theyre getting older and the property taxes went up 100% between 21-22. So it's just not worth it for them anymore.

The last guy that came through said he was looking for an "abnb property." there are already 2 other abnbs on my street, it's sad to think how many austinites are getting displaced for because of this.

It's nice to see CoA doing something, but for me and girlfriend, it's too little too late, we're already planning to leave the state.
