Australia Wants to be World’s Main Cannabis Exporter, While Denying it to Citizens

There simply isn’t as much of a culture surrounding cannabis in Australia. About 1 in 8 Americans smoke weed regularly according to statistics, and somewhere around 1 in 33 Australians

Bit of a rant here... .Now, who on earth wrote this article? I don't believe the australian figure, atall. I have lived in South Australia most of my life, spent much time in Queensland & Victoria, Australia, too. No one could ever convince me that 1 in 33 smoke it. That claim is absolute rubbish. That figure it way lower. It's illegal here, so a majority's gonna say they smoke it anyway?

Can't fool me, christ, I've known cops that smoke it.

Government needs to hurry up, pass / legalise it. Tax it. Problem solved. But... who's gonna suffer the most? Woolworths / BWS etc and the licenced venues, 'coz all the sudden, everyones gonna be stoned at home and not wasting their money on alcohol.

Weed has so many benefits, and I feel it outweighs the negatives.

My dad is old and fucked up, illness. Weed helps.

One of my best mates got hit by a drunk driver crossing the opposite side of the road, my mate can't ever work again 'coz he's all fucked up too. Weed helps him, too.

My mates dad has full-blown arthritis, weed helps him.

Last time I went to the doctors for a broken foot. Doctor x-ray'd it, told me that I have an early onset of arthritis, too.... Joy.

Hard hard is it, really. If the gov snooze, they loose.

So hurry up and legalize it, tax it, create employment with it, do what ya gotta do and then we can concentrate on the next issue...

In the meantime, half of Australia will continue to blaze up in secrecy while the government is missing an opportunity on a boom industry.
