Australian here. I was told that no-one in Sri Lanka drinks Dilmah

I've only had Dilmah very few times, long ago and I can't even remember how it's different from others, but as far as I know, most of the high quality stuff gets exported to other countries. Unless you're one of the few people who knows someone in tea plantations to get the good stuff for a low price, most people drink tea belonging to local brands. They do taste fine, but I've never had the good stuff to compare it to.

I've heard of foreigners drinking Early Grey, Jasmine tea, and all that kinda stuff, but it's just plain tea from a cheap brand for most people here. You sometimes put a ginger slice in it if you feel like it. Kinda sad really. We get the "bad" tea, while the supposedly good ones get exported and is sold here at a much higher price.
