It's absolutely okay to want the statistical best option for a child. You are grasping at straws here. I never said I can choose. I cannot deal their hand for them. I would raise any child to the best of my ability and inform them about anything they need/want to know more about. I'm not insecure about my sexuality nor would I be insecure about theirs. All I know is what I have seen. I have seen lgbt people taking their own lives. I have seen gay bashings. I have seen lgbt people forced to closet themselves for the rest of their lives. I have seen lgbt people forcing themselves to be married to a person of the opposite sex in light of culture, family, religion and so on.

I, as a parent, can do only so much to give any child a good life with tonnes of lessons and growth. I don't control the world. That means I can silently hope that whatever life they live is kind enough not to take them out of it prematurely or forcing them to live in hiding forever.
