Auto mechanics of Reddit, what car should you never buy and why?

Buying an old porsche for a restoration project. Most older 911's are already pushing 100,000 if not way more. Even basic 911 Carreras from the 80's that are usually the worst still sell for around $40,000 or more. They are pretty reliable if you over look imperfections & nuances of classic car quarks. However, they are extremely expensive to maintenance as most shop charge well over $100 per hour of service. Also, most Maintenances take a long time to complete which just adds to the bill. Even a simple oil change on an older 911 costs around $300. Turbo's are the worst though. You're looking at around $500 because of all the steps require to do an oil change on them.
