Autoimmune disorder? 1.5 years, multiple doctors, no tests ordered, no answers. PLEASE HELP ME. I BEG YOU.

iamnotadoctor, but if i were, i would ask you for a food diary for everything that went in your mouth.

in addition, i would want to see (in the same diary) all of the following information:

1) any medication taken, whether Rx or over the counter, and

2) any drug ingestion, and

3) any alcohol (beer, wine, liquor) ingestion,

4) any occurrence of any of your symptoms, whether physical or psychological, body location, time of day, duration, and intensity, and

5) physical activities, whether normal household or work activities, or specific activities designed to increase your circulation...such as cardio in a gym or outdoors, or weight lifting, or calisthenics. if the activity involves increased heart rate, then resting pulse before starting activity, peak heart rate during activity, then resting pulse again at the end of the activity...2 minutes after ceasing the activity, and

6) sleep log, including time getting into bed...whether sleep comes immediately or not, then time of waking up, with a quick description of quality of sleep, and a brief description of the dreams...whether they weren't remembered, were negative, or were positive. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ i would then start a rather long and involved experiment with you and your body, beginning with your food. i would eliminate all food except one food of your choosing, and ask you to continue the diary...and this one food (and water) would be maintained for at least 2 weeks, preferably 3 weeks or one month (along with a daily multivitamin).

at the end of the experiment period, we would engage in a discussion of all the details of your daily symptoms, in order to see whether was a lessening or increase in any of your symptoms.

if the results have been positive, then we would continue with you choosing a 2nd food to ingest, so you are now eating 2 things, exclusively...along with only water.

same routine, and same discussion and examination with you after the testing period.

we would continue on the same path, adding back a specific beverage (no added sugar, cream/milk, or chemical sweetener) to the 2 foods, and proceeding with the same technique.

discussion and examination of any changes in symptoms.

the next step would add to the food/beverage ingestion. very specific physical activity, with very specific duration...and on a daily basis. continue with this for the same time period, so...2 foods, 1 beverage besides water (no additives), specific physical activity.

discussion & examination of symptoms. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++

ok. you get the idea. making your body and your daily life the subject of a big science experiment. this would be really difficult...mostly for you, but it would be practically the only way of determining what is causing these symptoms.

it could be food, or sleep techniques, or activity or the lack of activity, or something you are ingesting (drug(s) or alcohol)...and there is no way of easily determining a cause for your symptoms without eliminating everything and starting from scratch.

if you are unable to convince your doctor to help you with this, would you be able to try an experiment like this on your own?
