So when you place an order via the storefront, you get put in a queue. That 8 week time applies from the date you place your order, you don't actually pay for the thing till it's ready to ship to you.

For instance, I'm from the UK and I ordered a full kit back on March 25th. I only got to pay for the thing on Wednesday night (June 24th). There's a backlog that Valve are currently working through so you will likely be waiting 8 weeks, but that may or may not decrease depending on how production is affected (and a myriad of other factors, but Valve isn't open about production/shipping speeds).

Imo, only order if you're willing to wait 8 weeks minimum to get your order. Hope this helps.
