Avatar: The Way of Water | Official Trailer

I feel like the Avatar series gets misconstrued a lot by some people. It’s meant to be an immersive experience, it’s not about the plot, it’s about how the film makes you feel as if you are really on this strange yet beautiful alien world. That is the magic of the film and why it became a global phenomenon. It’s a different kind of storytelling…one that is more sensory in nature. In many ways it is like a nature documentary with a simple story and characters to invite audiences into the world. This is why it loses its luster when it’s watched outside of the medium it was intended to (on a big screen in 3D), it’s one of those films I think is meant to be watched in theaters. I think this trailer does a fantastic job at conveying that. I’ll definitely be watching upon release.
