Gotta chime in here. These are some of the best voice actors in the business. Just for reference, Troy Baker was Spiderman in Spiderman PS4. Laura Bailey was MJ in that game (and Nadine in Uncharted, and Jaina Proudmoore in WoW), and Travis Willingham is Kingpin (and a lot of cartoon voices). As far as I know the voice acting in Spiderman is known for being pretty good. Nolan North is fuckin Nathan Drake, and a million other voices and is considered pretty legendary. I’m not as familiar with the other guy.

I believe the problem here is with either direction or writing. Those can make a huge difference in getting the desired performance. Also, I can say as a fan of Critical Role, of which Willingham and Bailey are a part, I have seen how they act when they are super stoked about a project. They were not stoked about this, driving home even further that the problem probably stemmed from somewhere else in the production process.

Just had to give my 2 cents here. If it sounded bad it almost certainly wasn’t the actors fault.
