Average rent in Greater Victoria sees biggest increase in 26 years: report

"A couple should be able to afford a house regardless of profession?"

Why? You don't get to do the bare minimum and then complain when you can't afford to live in the most expensive city in Canada.

But this is the city you grew up in and all your friends are here? Who cares. It's no secret this city is expensive and by choosing to stay here you've made the choice of location and friends over home ownership.

Can you honestly tell me you've got a savings account and are working hard towards buying a house? Because most of what I read here is complaining about prices or new mortgage laws from people that aren't currently working towards buying.
