Avoid Canadianvisa.org

I found this website candianvisa.org in google search after i typed and searched looking for ways to immigrate to canada. It came on the top of the search list, I clicked and filled the form.

After about an hour or so, I received a call from +1 country code which said british columbia canada and i answered the call.

It was a call from the Canadianvisa.org representative. He called himself “Mark”.

He started the conversation by saying that “98%” of the people who apply through us get the visa to immigrate to Canada and was giving all sorts of talks about opportunities, how life would be like in Canada, etc.

He seemed polite and nice. He says I will have to pay an initial fee of only CAD 49. After the conversation, all of a sudden he tells me to check my email which I do and says that please open the link given and make the payment, as I was still on call with him.

I think, well okay it seemed like a small initial fee for the agent who will be assisting me to fill all forms accurately and submitting it on my behalf which is good because I thought they would know better and I end up paying that amount.

After which he asks me a couple of questions about my employment status, my education etc and proceeds to fill the form and assigns me a user id and password on the website and says that i will be contacted within the next 5 business days to proceed further with the application.

Fast forward the next day, I receive a call from a lady, she does not mention her name and again she gives long talks about the opportunities i will have in canada, and how they can help get to canada etc. And then out of the blue tells me that I have to pay an amount of 2000 cad in order to give the application to the RCIC consultant to be evaluated by them and discuss my options for the immigration. I hesitate, because I do not have the funds for it and i tell her the same, to hold my application until i am able to pay, because my dumb self still did not realize that this is a scam. I genuinely was going to try to arrange for the money to pay for the application process, to which she gets a bit aggressive and demands that i make the payment anyway even if i don’t have funds in my account.

She says to make the payment, and once it gets declined, she can send me an option to pay in installments of 850 cad or even lower depending on my current budget. At her sudden change of tone and the way she was almost aggressively demanding me to do so, I immediately felt that this is not right and tell her just keep my application on hold and i will contact her back, to which she does not respond well, saying that, “we will process your application anyway. You have to pay”

I was forced to hang the phone on her face and she kept on calling me for another 5 times with two different Canadian numbers which I did not answer. Then, she proceeds to send me an email saying that “we have scheduled a call on “date” “ with me.

Be very careful who you pursue. Most websites seem so legit but you never know.
