It is with great regret to inform you that the potential marriage and joining of our Houses cannot proceed. Two moons ago, Lady Alyssa conspired with her sworn sword to run away from the Dreadfort to elope with you, hoping that she could do away with waiting and being impatient to get what she desires.

Lady Alyssa was delivered mercy and a kind hand, her sworn sword who is bound to serve House Bolton was not. He was swiftly executed for his attempt to kidnap Alyssa and for his act of treason against House Bolton.

In King's Landing, Lady Alyssa saw fit to seek revenge upon me. Screaming murder and telling a great many lies to the King. The end result, had she been successful and King Daemon believing her treachery, was that I would have been executed. Thankfully, our King is wise beyond his years and saw through her lies.

It was agreed, between myself, Lady Lyanna and King Daemon, that Alyssa was too dangerous to be wed to anyone outside the North. She has grown vengeful, spiteful and could greatly harm the tender peace that stands.

Lady Alyssa had spent the last moon in White Harbor, under the protection of House Stark aboard a vessel until the Wildling threat is over. It pains me to inform you, that in her melancholic state, following the end of any marriage prospect, Lady Alyssa took her own like in defiance.

I regret not informing you sooner, but as I am sure you understand, this has been a difficult time for our family and one of grief and mourning.
