A little late to this post. I would consider myself a rad fem if so many self identified rad fems haven’t said horrible things to me online that I consider anti feminist. I’ve come to understand many people that call themselves “rad fems” are just conservative and transphobic women looking for a label. I had one debate online where I asked how a male perpetrator was supposed to differentiate me with any other female victim (her seeing my profile) her response was that while she didn’t choose to be female and has no defense against male violence I did “choose” the female form. Implying my existing in my current body welcomed male sexual violence. This was sorta the nail in the coffin for me on my stance there. She basically said “ur asking for it” with a modern transphobic twist. I understand that this goes against actual rad fem literature but the problem is just like trans rights activists are crowded with tons of random and larping people, the rad fem movement is crowded with conservatives who pretty much uphold misogyny in all facets but want to validate their hatred for trans people.
