Awkward interview. Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner jokingly call Black Widow a "whore."

Whoa. Hang on a second. I don't agree with sexism at all. Back up. Let's pause for a second and reflect on the conversation we have had.

I said there was a an intimate connection between Cap and Widow in TWS. You disagreed. That's fine.

Then you said that part of the convo was "not the fucking point" because their statements were sexist. I took offense to that because I NEVER said prior to that point that their statements were not sexist. The only thing I had said to that point was that there was more than just friendship between Cap and Widow in TWS.

Honestly, if they were TRULY calling the Widow character a slut it would absolutely be sexist. The thing is though, I thought they were saying it sarcastically in an effort to make fun of the question all together and poke fun at the sexist view that she couldn't have multiple male relationships. That's how I took it. You took it differently.

Now you're saying I am backward because I don't give a rat's ass what two actors think on the subject of women's issues. They are not highly educated intellectuals, they aren't members of congress or business leaders. They pretend to be superheroes for a living. Their opinion is worth less to me than my dog's farts.

Because of that, I don't agree with making an issue of what two guys said in a casual interview because IT DOES NOT MATTER. Whether they are right, whether they are wrong, whether it is sexist or not has no bearing on how I live my life or how other's live theirs. They aren't holding women back. They aren't suppressing women. Their statements mean nothing.

For that mater the word slut is an archaic, outdated chauvinistic word. It has no place in a decent society. But I'll be damned if I'm going to sit around and tell people what they can and cannot say because their right to say it is more important than the social agendas of ideologues such as yourself.

The irony, of course, is that you have the absolute right to scream sexism any time someone says something you think is backwards. It doesn't mean you're right. It doesn't mean it's sexist and it certainly doesn't mean people care.

You know what matters? It matters that Widow could be in TWS without playing a damsel in distress role. It matters that her motivations were independent from Cap's. It matters that she is an Avenger equal to the boys. It matters that the other actors respect her, work with her and treat her as an equal. It matters that we live in a time when a woman can be pregnant and STAR in an action movie AS a superhero. That's what matters. Your overreaction to a meaningless and inconsequential statement is far more vapid and self-promotional than it is a true desire to see equality.

No one. NO ONE cares when multiple people have referred to Tony Stark as a reformed pig, a reformed chauvinist, a womanizer or any other name in the book. Those terms are stereotyping and sexist as well. The only difference is the history behind the subjugation of women. If you want society to move past that history and past those stereotypes then stop bitching about meaningless comments and start caring about real women's issues.

Grow up.
