My comment was definitely summarize-y, so I can expand more for more context, just for conversation.

On stanning: One of my favorite mantras is Sonic Youth's 'Kill yr idols,' so I definitely relate to not seeing people as deities. When I stan, it's more in a supportive way like, they're touring, and I like them, so going out to enjoy and show love and support. And tell my friends about new releases, and share stuff on social media. But like, I'm not inclined to do that anymore.

On defending her boyfriend: It's mainly how she did it. Like, of course you're gonna wanna tell haters to back off of someone you love. But when she started getting into the politics of it, saying she has the receipts... like honestly, how much does she know about their working conditions? How much do i?

silly spellings: yeah, i'm just kind of over it. I'm around her age, and I used feel like it was fun and manic-pixie-dreamgirl-ish to be all messy and aloof, but then I started to have to get my shit together and have more responsibility and quit my drugs. Maybe that's who she is, but I'm growing away from it, besides when i feel a need for catharsis from work, so it's hard to relate.

despite all this, i respected the hell out of her for focusing on passions and creating what she loves. anyway, i'm not feeling kind of gross for dissecting a person so hard. Hating makes you feel all ugly. I think I might take a break from this sub for awhile and try to find some tunes I'm enjoying. Thanks for engaging in conversation, I appreciate it.
