Usually the false rape accusations argument is brought up to counter believe all victims stance. Of course they should be taken serious and it should be investigated but people do lie. We don't want to set a precedent where the accusation of one person can send a person to prison or ruin their career.

Somewhat related, I recently watched a documentary about a guy who spent years in prison for stealing a backpack that he never did. The guy who had his backpack stolen became paranoid of all black people and a week later went to the police. While riding around with the officer he pointed out Kalief and said that was the guy who did it. Maybe he honestly thought that was the right guy but should Kalief have spent years in prison just because some guy said he was the one who stole his backpack?
