Aztecross' knowledge on the crucible

A lot of content creators literally have no idea what they’re talking about and get hoards of people to bandwagon on literally whatever the fuck they say. Go look at their tournament rules.

They fundamentally don’t know what they want.

In the whole scheme of the last 5 years the game is pretty good. You have to have perspective. Destiny has always had gimmicky shit. Yet right now the game is about as good as it was in House of Wolves.

No one is ever going to be satisfied with the state of crucible. You can only be dissatisfied with the direction. And the direction that some content creators wanted fundamentally didn’t work.

And frankly, some content creators are just sniveling crybabies. Take Cammycakes who bitches about bullet magnetism when that’s been a staple of the Bungie shooter for differentiating weapon types since Halo CE. Who also can’t comprehend the fact that magnetism is literally indistinguishable from larger character models to the layperson and that there is far more to aiming than putting a reticle on a pixel-size target (like CS).

In Destiny you move fast, and it’s not about pixel accuracy, it’s about coordination and how fast you can acquire targets.

It’s about timing and moving through space while retaining accuracy and then retaining that accuracy on targets that do the same.

Then there’s content creators who literally just bitch about the latest gun. I come from a generation where we all loaded in with the M6D or the Battlerifle and had fun, because what mattered was whether the best guns had a skillgap.

But instead you have a bunch of uncultured folks who just load up a killtime spreadsheet and are suddenly FPS balance experts hellbent on making the crucible diverse without actually explaining why that’s even a goal.
