I'm not missing any of that, you're original complaint was you didn't get hired despite failing the training.
I've been in the ambulance service for 20 years. I've never worked for $2 an hour. You're describing one single track through the ambulance service. People are getting hired today full time to downtown Vancouver, provided they can pass the training.
You understanding you will only make $2 in the station youre after and then dumping 7k twice on the training says more about you than the job.
I'd also like to add the $2 an hour is a standby stippend, not a wage. You're not at work, you're not expected to do anything. You could be working a second job or watching your kids at home. It's designed to support people in small communities who might do 2-4 calls a week and want to be doing something else in the mean time. Anywhere in BC with significant call volume dosent use the $2 an hour system.
