"I know that b*tch didn't just ignore me."

I don't know your military background exactly. I was army so I know that doesn't always mean much for all veterans when it comes to using weapons in public. Please don't take offense to that but I would like your opinion on something I was taught from my grandpa, also army.

He taught me to keep my weapon in my back pocket in all sketchy situations. In op's situation, I should have the gun in a holster as soon as I am walking out of the store after the weird encounter inside. And when approached I need to throw up the non-dominate hand flat out and tell the person not to come any closer. Meanwhile dominant hand is on the weapon from behind, not revealing what it is and using non-dominant hand as a subtle distraction. Then if they cross my imaginary line after asking them to stop, you draw the weapon and use it because you are (repeat this for legal purposes) "saving your life."

Is that something familiar you ever heard of? I never heard of it in the army but I wasnt infantry obviously as a female.

He also suggested that for the weapon I use a throwaway knife inside a plastic baggy. Go for the eye and rip it out or artery in the neck if I am feeling confident. With knife still in baggy, just blade slices through the bag. Then run as fast as possible, look for cover. While running throw the knife. Throw the baggy somewhere else. Stay hidden for a long time. Is that something he made up too or is that taught to people?
