Short answer, yes you will.

I've been looking at buying those same parts as well for a new build. The MSI B450 Max uses an old 450 chip set but the 3000 series Ryzen chips require the 570 chips set on motherboards. The good news is that the B450 Tomahawk Max has a flash BIOS button on the rear panel. I still haven't looked into in detail yet, but you can hook up the PSU to your motherboard, insert a USB flash drive with the new update into the USB port near the flash Bios button and then press the button. I think it should be pretty straight forward like that. Look up a tutorial online to make sure you're doing everything properly. Good luck!
