The Bachelorettes should propose, too

I agree! Idk if you ever watched that show “The Spouse House,” but there were people just proposing every week. There was one scene where the man looks at his partner, and she whispers to him, “I’m not proposing?! That’s your job,” or something along those lines. It’s just interesting to me. I think that a man proposing seems like a gesture that ensures he someone is truly committed.

For me, that’s indicative of a society that says men can sew their oats for as long as they want, but when they settle down, there will be a woman there waiting. For women, it’s a constant sifting through and filtering of “good” life partners, and being proposed to is somehow validating. I think it’d be interesting to see that dynamic flipped.
