A Look Back On The r/baseball Chris Archer Trade Thread

Probably referring to my comment. For the record I didn’t say Meadows was bad, just he wasn’t gonna start in an outfield with Starling Marte, Gregory Polanco, and Corey Dickerson. Our outfield was super good that year. Of course this was before Polanco broke and Corey Dickerson was traded for cash.

Glasnow wasn’t very good with us due to our pitching coach, who was actually regarded as one of the best pitching coaches in the league until a couple years ago. So my thinking was that he could make Archer really good again.

Obviously that didn’t happen. Glasnow became a top end starter, Archer sucked for a year and a half, and the Pirates missed out on a Marte/Meadows/Reynolds outfield.
