Depends what they do with it... NFTs have untapped potential. If anyone should do NFTs it's collectibles games and video game manufacturers.

One of the biggest drawbacks of buying digital copies of video games is that you can't resell them. But if there were NFTs involved, it would be possible.

That being said, the technology isn't there yet to doing it sustainably (i.e. without pumping our atmosphere full of even more carbon.) We need renewable power first or some more energy efficient way of running the servers.

I would love to be able to buy one digital copy of D&D source books to use on all the different sites, and I'm sure the MTG players would love to be able to sell their digital cards.

Unfortunately NFTs have become this plague of stolen art and randomized-character-creator monkeys that have no value except monetary.
