Backpack basics

If you're looking for a nice bugout pack, consider the LA Police Gear Operator backpack for $55 on the LAPG site (usually more expensive on Amazon). I have it and think it's incredibly comfortable.

  • 47 liters
  • Molle compatible
  • Two compression straps on each side, with loops on the bottom to attach additional straps
  • Lots of pockets for organization
  • Heavy, sturdy build
  • ** Internal frame**
  • ** Very thick shoulder pads**
  • ** Sternum strap**
  • ** Thick, comfortable waist belt that effectively takes the load off your shoulders**
  • Moderately thick back padding

There are a few packs that share largely the same design, so shop around. But I find this to be exceptionally comfortable and versatile, if a bit heavy.
