I had this done much easier. Also succesfully with Google Music with bot secure login and 0auth2 enabled in my Google account. (0Auth2 prevented a strangers iPhone with US ip from loging into my Gmail few days ago btw. Probably password leaked via a mobile app). My tutorial in my Kodi Addons install folder:

NOTE: If using with your Google account security setting 0auth2/2FA, in Kodi first install if not done already via Settings, Addons, Install via Repository from Kodi Repo, Programs the Backup addon. Because will install also needed services 0auth2 and GoogleApi.

Google login in Drive and other Google apps/addons will only work with:

-Secure login and 0auth2 disabled in your Google account settings.

-Both secure login and 0auth2 enabled in Google account. Then go to https://security.google.com/settings/security/apppasswords, Login with your Google account. Add app and name it in this case for example Kodi Drive. Google gives you a password now meant for the just added app/addon only. Login Drive in Kodi with normal Google accountname and the dedicated password Google just gave you.
