Bad reference check

Ok , so he accused her of doing things she didn’t do at work, he also mentioned to the manager that she was coming late to work while everyone else was , he didn’t bother to look at them . Basically it was targeted discrimination. Her boss was also mixing up talks and situation and calling her out in front of many peers at work. He also played many office politics when she tried to speak up . She still have a very good record of employment , passed the probation with no issues and has a paperwork of her great yearly review . Work-wise she had no major issues that would let the company fire her or reasons that would let her resign due to the fact she couldn’t do her job. She resigned because her previous work was toxic ,

So now she is trying to find a way to get a job thats all … but what if the previous supervisor keeps saying she was xyz and she wasn’t xyz . Hope this explains
