I feel like recently YG has lost a lot of power over its employees. Before, Yang Hyun Suk was basically God and could basically tell any group member to do anything and they'd have to do it, except maybe Big Bang. G-Dragon was the only person with real autonomy in the entire company and that's only cus YG knew fully well that he's fucked if GD decides to split.

But now with all the scandals and shit and the fact that Yang Hyun Suk stepped down, everyone just has a much bigger say in whatever they want to do. Since Winner especially is essentially the only truly successful YG group that produces/writes all their own songs, AND hasn't had any scandals, YG needs WINNER and most importantly KSY + MINO.
