Bank won't reimburse woman whose belongings were wrongfully repossessed

Did no one else pause and try to read the list she was requesting from the bank to reimburse? She's claiming $1583.80 in "pool supplies", which I'm betting is an above ground pool and no way in hell the supplies cost that much. (I have a real pool and spend nowhere near that much on it for the life span of the pool.)

She claimed over $9,023.11 in "toyota engine and parts". Most families do not have this sort of stuff just lying around in their shed.

Miscellaneous kids' clothes was $2,500. What? I have 4 kids, and have spent maybe $1,000 total on my my oldest (which is then handed down to the younger kids) and she's 11. I liked the $200.00 purple prom dress she claimed, which is most likely out dated and nowhere near worth $200 now.

$1599 bowflex, and this was posted 4 years ago. Today's standards it is worth $1599 NEW. There's a 7 piece patio set for $1336.99, which once again is brand new and on the higher end of the spectrum.

While I think she deserves money for what they did, I think her list is entirely bloated as fuck and that is why the bank is stating that they aren't willing to pay as much as she wants. She is being unrealistic and wants everything to be replaced 100% new (assuming she owned all of these things) at the highest price point.

I do think it's a bit stupid that they demanded receipts for everything, but I can understand where they are coming from...considering that half of that list is from "outside" and makes up a huge chunk of the money she is asking for. If you owned a $1399 bowflex, wouldn't you at least have proof of that? (Like the warranty guide, or something?)

She did receive a settlement, that she agreed to but cannot disclose.
