You have performed insufficient troubleshooting to determine the cause of the issue. That said, it's a cheap, made-in-China radio - the likely explanation is that some tiny electronics bit somewhere along the line has crapped out on you for whatever reason.

Stream-of-consciousness is also not a very good way of presenting issues when seeking advice. You aren't explaining this to us in person with all the verbal tics and non-committal filler words that come with talking to someone face-to-face. Go ahead, write down the problem, and assemble a summary of:

• What are your expectations of your equipment? (I press this button and speak into it, and a person several hundred feet away hears my voice through their radio)

• What issues are you encountering with your expectations? (The person several hundred feet away is picking up a radio transmission, but my voice doesn't get through)

• What testing have you performed to determine causes? (Transmitted from Baofeng to Kenwood)

• What state changes have occurred recently? (Started using a new peripheral)

• Other notes (Suspicion of new peripheral as the cause of the issue)
