Because you make blanket generalizations about "people like me" without getting more than 2 sentences to work off of.
You have literally no idea who I am, yet you wish me harm and hope I seize to exist. And the irony is you think people like ME are the problem.
Maybe your jarring grandiose views of what the world should be and how to fix every problem with your ideal solution would work. Yet you have no idea what socioeconomic policies and impact Thatcher had on the economy. She opted to literally sacrificing the few already poor and already impoverished of her own generation to ensure that post 1990 Britians economy wont be a mess for people like you and me to inherit and somehow fix.
She sacraficed her approval rating, she sacrificed her humanity and she put the already 1.5 million poor/unemployed in an even worse position all for the sake of sweeping economic reform to fix Britians economy. The pound went from being LITERALLY twice the value of the dollar to being worth almost the same. That meant people's purchasing power went down in HALF. She could have payed the short game and pushed the problem forward by BORROWING MONEY (Sound familiar?) or take responsibility for her generations mistakes and ensure future generations don't have to suffer the fate and mistakes of HER generation.
Maybe you think its okay for us to be paying for poor planning of our fathers and grandfathers but I don't, and even though I disagree with her approach it DID infact save the UK's economy. Shes on the top 5 list of PM's that impacted the country for the betterment of all.
Why am I even here typing this? Because unlike you I have no malice for people that know no better and always find it time well spent to have constructive back and forths with others if theres atleast a sliver of a chance that maybe a middle ground could be met. Maybe with you, im wasting my time. I choose to look for the positive in every engagement so heres to hoping you're not as closed minded as the rednecks with MAGA hats that slashed my tires this summer over a bumper sticker, but lets see what happens.
