I do not understand the fear of AOC. I am educated, hard working, and compassionate. I have ups and downs both financially and emotionally. I have been blessed more than I have been cursed. I understand that is not the case for everyone. I have seen an entire class of people disintegrate in my adult life. The rhetoric from both sides seems extremely transparent and born from desperation and fear. The idea that extremely fortunate and more often than not ruthless left, right, and center should pay to reconstruct the middle class that has been decimated makes sense to me. I am not anti capitalism, but with a system that has gone unchecked from all sides I can't see a resolution to the massive inequality in our country. I also understand that this sub may not be interested in my opinion, and that is ok. I have lurked for years, and the difficulty of discussing some of this stuff in day to day life has led to this attempt at interaction.
