Basics/Staples for your life

30s professional, works from home, travels a lot. My staples, things I reach for most when traveling, are pretty much all from Uniqlo. Not affiliated, just really love their clothes. I don't cry when my luggage gets lost or something gets wrecked while I'm on a trip. I machine wash almost everything (except bras) and hang dry. Blouses or delicate fabrics go in a garment bag for machine washing, so unpacking after a trip is usually low-fuss. I also keep a toiletries bag ready to go. - pashmina in black or cream or red depending on mood - professional sheath dress in black or navy. Theory wool dress or Uniqlo ponte dress usually. - fitted black blazer. Current favorite is from Theory. - Fitted Levi's trucker jacket to throw over dress for after-work outings when traveling -Zara trench in camel (goes with work and play clothes. Layered over denim jacket/blazer w a pashmina if it's cooler, as in still above freezing) - Uniqlo ultra stretch jeans in black or dark navy or white for summer - Uniqlo oxford button up if winter - Uniqlo black or red or navy sleeveless silk button up if summer (I also like their linen but don't have time to fuss with ironing when traveling) -Uniqlo heat tech tanks to wear under button ups (I find them more durable than airism and wear them in the summer too, in 33C/90% humidity weather with no issues. If it's super winter then I pack a long sleeve heat tech to wear under everything too. And if it's Canadian winter, add heat tech leggings to wear under jeans, wool tights) -Uniqlo collarlessultra light down vest (over button ups or under jackets for extra warmth.) -black tights from.. you guessed it, Uniqlo. -heattech socks from... Uniqlo (I'm such a dweeb) or Uniqlo footsies in warmer weather -Clarks patent leather oxfords (my best shoe purchase. They go with everything and are very comfortable) - 1 set of gym clothes (Old Navy usually) and Nike Free Runs for the hotel gym -Sloggi underpants. If anyone knows where to get these in the US, PLEASE speak up.
