Just saying...if I remember right Reidy never accused Russell of beating her in the blog post. It was her friend who claimed that on social media and Reidy had it taken down and did not confirm those accusations. The blog post focused more on his infidelity and being emotionally manipulative. Not saying the beating didn't happen - she could be keeping quiet on that part just to help keep his career salvageable.

Nowhere in Russell's statement does he admit to hitting her. You can't permanently ban someone on an accusation that the victim won't even confirm happened.

If there was video of everything everyone has ever said or done then tons of people in MLB would not have jobs. MLB is only trying to protect the league to keep the money rolling in. The worse the PR the more likely they would be to take drastic action due to public pressure. A video will always be way worse than accusations in terms of PR.
