Aslog watched the battle from afar from ontop of his hill. He was safe from the fighting and flanked by his goblin body guard. He watched Talun with his orcs cut down beorning and men alike. He watched as his goblins would surround a great armored bear and stab at it from everyside until it died only take a few goblins down with it. This had been a successful ambush only thanks to The Lord Talun.

At first they were supposed to attack the Beorning in their camp while they slept but that did not happen for they had begun to march. So Aslog had stumbled ontop of them while traveling to their camp. His forces had attacked them sooner than he thought but still they had been coming at the camp from every side so they came from every side. Right now the battle was raging and it looked like he was going to win this battle. How many goblins and orcs had he lost maybe a thousand , two thousand he did not know , however he did know this force of northmen and skin changers were not going into High Pass any more. It would not be going any further. So as the night wore on and the battle raged below the hill Aslog watched until the darkness of night begun to fade and the tinges of gray streaked the sky. " Servant" Aslog yelled " yes lord?" " call a full stop to the attack. Daylight is coming and we will lose our strength while the enemy will gains his. Pull everyone back."

Like a great leash had been yanked the goblin army began to pull back quickly . As his forces withdrew Aslog could see the result. A unimginable number of goblins and men lay dead. If only he had more time he could finish off the Beornings. But he did not. He did want to be caught in the daylight and as it stood now his forces would have to sramble back to the nearst caves to escape the coming dawn.

And so Aslog's goblins pulled back and ran for the caves. Aslog had stayed back for awhile watching the dead and Beorning men. "Servant" Aslog spoke "Yes lord?" Came the reply "Send a message to the beorning commander down below. If Grimbeorn lived deliver it too him. Tell him. Time is no longer on our side but do not march onward for once he eneters the moutain pass and is envloped by shadows. We will be waiting . And he will die with the whats left of his forces. Turn back and we will not give chase and he may return to Carrock."
