Bay Area property tax map - Allows you to see what each building is paying

I heard the stories before I moved here from the south, but the full effect could only be appreciated after moving/living here. Let me tell ya, you Californians have it rough! Where I'm from a fresh college grad making 40k salary and living in the city can buy you a 1000+ sq. ft. home with comfortable mortgage payments of about $600 /mo.

Young people and couples here have an uphill battle that is not worth the blood and sweat sacrifice it costs to be here. Not being a conservative and desiring a change of scenery is what drove me to come out to the west. After gaining the perspective of actually living here I can only laugh. Give me the backwoods conservatism of the south any day over the laundry list of problems out here.

You guys are already flooding out and the techies are going to drive up the prices as you do. But the south will be the last bastion of decency as the gate keeper to keep you guys away is the ignorant conservative bible thumping right. A small price to pay for people like me in the big scheme of things.
