BCom at UVIC

Hey,

I just graduated from the program in August. While it is pretty competitive to get in to the program, it is definitely not impossible. They look at both your academic performance and your extracurricular life outside of school and weight is about 60/40 respectively. A lot of what they look at if you have good grades (I think the minimum is a B+) is what else you have to offer. You have to keep in mind that the school is trying to make themselves as strong and diverse as possible in terms of their students. They want their future grads to be successful and unique so they can turn around and brag about how great the program is. So make sure to set yourself apart from the crowd with things like: your own business, charity work, sports, coaching, volunteering, music, and anything else that makes you stand out. The stuff they ask for in the application is just a starting point, its something that everyone that wants in will fill out, so don't be afraid to add to it. I know people who have made videos to supplement their applications and were successful, so maybe something like that.

Hope that helps, and good luck!
