why is bdsp considered one of the worst pokemon games?

I’ve played every game to date and what made BDSP so disappointing for me was that it was literally just a carbon copy of the original version. For context, most of the remakes like heart gold/soul silver and omega ruby/alpha sapphire added new content to the original games. For example, aside from upgrading the graphics, they would also include all the new Pokémon and latest features like mega evolution. What made brilliant Diamond and shining Pearl so disappointing is that after waiting 14 years, game freak didn’t really bother to add any new content and basically just repackaged the original game script with slightly better graphics (not to mention the graphics were also super disappointing because they were a massive downgrade from the Gen 6/7/8 graphics). This was the game that honestly killed the series for me because it just proved game freak doesn’t really care about their fan base anymore or the actual Pokémon universe. The company’s sole goal now is to pump out new content as quickly as possible to maximize revenue with no regard for their original fan base.
