Melon why he did bit Yahya?
Like i expected... Melon would only attack Yahya for one of two reasons :
1st - by speaking about his dad or a family as a whole 2nd - by showing him sympathy and taking pity on him We got our answer. Yahya lied to Melon - That his father is in heaven with Melon's mother.
Melon bit him since he took pity on him - Melon hates any sympathy even the one aimed at him. Melon hearing all this "fancy talk" from Yahya made him realise that he will be saved if Yahya carries him to the hospital and Yahya himself said that they're close to a hospital (not in his thoughts) Melon heard and had to act. He doesn't want to go to the hospital - He wants to die.
So as a last resort of hope- He sees this as a window of opportunity to FINALLY "be free out of this world" but to do that he needs to make Yahya vulnerable - Hence why he bit (other reason why he did it was just to spite Yahya)
Melon collapses with Yahya due to bloodloss - Paru wants us to think that they're gone. They're not they're both not. but i let people have "fun" while thinking that they are indeed done.
The antagonist who we see since CH 124 and Yahya since CH 99. to go off on one panel? Not possible.
It's Melon's last wish - to be put out of his misery. but they won't - LAST page. Legoshi sniffed Yahya's blood he did say his sense of smell gets amplified 100 fold while he sniffs a herbivore blood. He did here - Next chapter will be Legoshi & Gosha & Louis finding them or Gouhin.
Also i saw people saying that Melon might want to go for Haru. Not possible - Haru's promise was supposed to happen during Melon's 25th BDay - we don't know the day only that its near the New Year's Eve. Melon is done from two wounds already - He cannot "hide" anymore due to his appearance changing to more Leopard- like.
My bet is next chapter Melon would have a OOB experience with his mother - and finally realise his mistakes / or dad would finallly fullfill his role as a catalyst to Melon.
They both are gonna survive - Melon's jaw strenght is not huge since he's dying and he bit Yahya in the shoulder not neck or any major vital spot.
Remember Melon as Hybrid is more resilient than a normal pure blooded animal. Only that simple shallow bite on Yahya's shoulder was enough for him to collapse - Bloodloss i guees he simply fainted.
After all he is a herbivore. Also he didn't wanted to drop Melon off of him for some reason - Maybe he feared that Melon would die off shock if he did
Yahya hadn't put him down because he was leaning forward and Melon grabbed him, which restricted his movements.
Melon is not biting him anymore on the last panel - He passed out. look at his hand and his eyes are closed. Both are out.
Melon's hand is no longer gripping him and is just laying there...also no sounds of chewing of some sort - indicating that he has passed out along with Yahya.
Also Melon says "herbivore" meat doesn't have much taste either, when he bites Yafya. That might take away any interest he had in eating Haru.
My take on that
Both are out cold - not dead.
