In terms of what Beauty News is and what they discuss in these videos is new releases/brands or what’s new to a certain retailer. They tend not to dip into drama unless it involves themselves directly or they believe their viewers should know about what’s happening with a certain brand. (ie. Kat Von D, shady indie brands).

They still cover releases on those brands with less than stellar public opinion because that’s what they do. I agree that they dropped the ball, and they could have done a lot better but I’m glad that people are calling them out for it.
I don’t think it’s fair to hold them on the highest authority of reporting just a fraction of what is considered news of the beauty world just because of their channel name.
