Because total emersion baptism for the repentance of sin is for people who have time to actually read the book

Sprinkling is not baptism. Baptism is practiced by immersion. It represents the death of the old ways and the rebirth with the gift of the Holy Spirit. Try burying your dead by sprinkling a little dirt on them and see how that works. There's no scriptural basis for the sprinkling. If that were the case, why is it that in almost all cases, it's mentioned that they went to a local river? If sprinkling were okay, why not just bless the water in jars they had around the house?

And while Catholics are ostensibly at least repentant (though not of blasphemy or heresy), a baby is not born with sin, cannot commit sin, cannot repent of their sin, cannot believe in Christ, cannot follow the law, cannot comprehend anything happening, and therefore cannot confess sins, repent of them, and choose to be baptized.
