Is it becoming Crass/Taboo to discuss type/attraction?

'Problematic' is such a worthless term. It's pseudo-academic language. What it means is "I think there's probably something wrong with that, but I can't articulate exactly what and why, so I'll just label it as wrong-bad."

It's thrown around under the pretense of highlighting problems so that they can be fixed. But you can't fix a problem without fully identifying it, properly understanding what it is and why it's a problem, and recognising its context and why it came to exist. When all you do is get part-way into that first step of identification, all you're doing is drawing stigma before moving on to stigmatise the next 'problematic' thing. Nothing is resolved or improved. Nobody is enlightened. People are left with a vague concern that something about what they said or did was wrong, but they don't know what or why.

If you're going to tell someone they're being prejudiced because they want to fuck <a certain type of guy>, then I think you have an obligation to further explain that sentiment if you 1. want to be taken seriously and 2. expect them to amend their thinking.
