Well the first time I went I was very young and naïve. A lawyer asked us one by one why we think we’d make a good juror. I already had my answer (and I’m cringing just typing this..):

“I’d make a good juror cause I already know how the system works. I’ve watched every season of Matlock and Columbo”

The lawyer fought back a grin and a few people hid their faces with their sleeves to suppress laughter. He just said “Thank you” and continued to the next juror like I didn’t just say that. Then he said he’s going to mention names. If your name is called, step outside. I was the first name called. That meant I wasn’t picked.
