Been calling in sick a lot more.. Should I switch specialties/careers?

You can call in a couple minutes before you're scheduled? what in the world type of scheduling is this and how can I get involved in it???

To be real though you need to do something different. You need to find something less acute/less stressful. That's obvious to you and to anyone reading this. I quit my first nursing job 6 months in because of panic attacks. Was out of the field 2 years. I'm now 3 years into a successful career 7 years later =) It is doable!

Apply, apply, apply. Be willing to move. The south always needs nurses, EVERY specialty, outpatient and inpatient. The pay is not as good, but the experience you get in a few years will get you anywhere.

You can do this. You can make it into something that will work for you. I didn't believe it either. I hated my job. I cursed myself for going into this. I hated bedside. I sometimes still have days I hate, but now there are days I feel like I make a difference. And more important than that I can support my loved ones.
