I have been diagnosed after a few meetings with my psych and my results are negative.

So what if you don't have it? It doesn't have to be the one and only reason for a person to feel unmotivated. Look at it this way, if you don't have ADHD then there's a higher chance that what you have can actually be fixed. Your life wasn't going to suddenly turn around the moment you got told it was ADHD, people like your dad would still claim it was a fake disorder. Life would be the same as before, except you would have a piece of paper saying it wasn't your fault that everyone you know chooses not to acknowledge anyway.

You say you don't feel depressed, but going off what you've written you certainly don't sound happy either. And anxiety doesn't always have to be a byproduct of ADHD, it can be caused by something else. Now that we've ruled out ADHD, we can look to what bigger, and possibly fixable problem, might actually be causing it.

How are you sleeping? A lot of the symptoms that are present in ADHD are also present in a physiological symptom known as obstructive sleep apnea. Because it directly affects the amount of oxygen you receive while you're sleeping, your brain is hindered the moment you wake up and you're more likely to behave in the same manner as someone with ADHD. The good thing is that sleep apnea can be treated if it's been diagnosed.

There are a lot of disorders to look into and consider, and that is just one of them. You're not beyond helping just because you haven't been diagnosed with ADHD. Think about what other factors might be affecting your life that you previously thought weren't ADHD related and didn't matter, and take it from there. Your symptoms can be caused by anything from a learning disorder to a specific deficiency, so there will always be help available to you.
