Been doing pool maintenance for over 10 years and thinking about starting my own pool service company. Any tips for someone about to go out on their own?

I jumped from 220 to 300 pools this year so I don't have any cumulative reports for this year really, however preliminary estimates are to bill out just over $600k this year. 35% of that goes to taxes off the top for being a self-employed business owner (thanks California), and each of my 3 regular route techs pull about $40k on average (depends on if they do repairs for me), plus equipment and chemicals (all basic chems are included in service in my area. Only specialty products get billed separately)... Don't have a figure for chem costs this year yet... But just as a ballpark to give you an idea... I paid myself $120k last year and have money left over investing in growth (such as the 82 pools I bought this year) and unexpected costs (such as the truck that just broke down on us ). Next year I predict being able to give myself a healthy raise (in addition to my employees raises), and pay for a phone answerer/ appointment setter.
