Have you been on dates during a lockdown?

Sure. I was in a relationship when COVID started and it ended shortly after lockdowns began. There was no way I was going to wait 1-2 years to start dating again, so I went on the dating apps. Lots of people out there still dating and met some great people. You just have to be careful about where you meet and in understanding who each other is socializing with, if anyone. I've been in a relationship with somebody for the past 6 months whose been working from home since the pandemic started. I was also working from home. In our state we're allowed to be around/socialize with up to 5 people from outside our household. So there was no reason we couldn't date and spend time together. It also helped that our restaurants have never been completely shut down (just capacity decreased).

So if you're careful and think outside the box, there are certainly safe ways to date. I did what I called the "driveway" date a few times earlier on in the pandemic. Pull the lawn chairs out on the driveway, 6' apart, and have drinks or even order takeout. If it got cold, I fired up the propane heater.
