Been playing for a year and 3 months and took a stab at Ashokan Farewell. Feedback welcome!

Very good. Keep at it. Ashokan Farewell is one of those tunes that each player kind of puts their own feeling to. Jay Ungar wrote it about his somber feelings when leaving a festival at the Ashokan Reservoir so there are often these small pushes or pulls in tempo that create tension or maybe hesitation .. don't be afraid to let the notes push and pull some.. you might consider practicing it a few times purposely putting longer bow strokes in it to see if when you go back to your normal playing you might find that the notes are blending together a little more. If you're interested here's my version from 10 years ago. I didn't go for the highest note there at the end.. nerves were getting to me just a little haha
